Following on from their 2009 release 'Live @ 7 Arts', Dave Kane (acoustic bass) and Alex Bonney's (trumpets) 'Less and More' (2013 Mini-Loop Records) continues to expand on the duo's tightly knit, often conversational free improvisations.

The album presents a calmer, focused and often more lyrical side to the duo's work. Although totally improvised, the music often feels compositional: a process that the duo have been developing in their performances over the last 5 years or so.

Recorded in Huddersfield University's Phipps concert hall, the duo's sound and dynamic range is captured in great detail and helps convey the sense of intimacy present in their live performances.
